The Dnipropetrovsk Regional Prosecutor's Office has stated that the information regarding the allocation of over $100,000 per year for the maintenance of the agency's vehicles is inaccurate. This was reported on the prosecutor's website, as conveyed by "Vydomo".
"Misinformation is spreading across the Internet about the supposed allocation of over $100,000 per year for the maintenance of vehicles belonging to the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Prosecutor's Office. This information is false, biased, and disseminated with the intent to discredit," the statement reads.
It is also noted that the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Prosecutor's Office currently operates 33 vehicles. Among them are two Toyota Land Cruisers, which were received through an agreement for the gratuitous transfer of material and technical assets from international partners.
The average age of the vehicles is over 12 years. The estimated average monthly mileage for one vehicle is more than 4,000 km.
"Given the constant load on the vehicles, significant monthly mileage, and the operational lifespan of the vehicles in the regional prosecutor's office, they require regular technical maintenance and replacement of worn-out parts according to vehicle operation regulations.
On average, 1 million UAH is allocated per year for the maintenance and current repairs of vehicles under the balance of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Prosecutor's Office. Over the past four years, a total of 4.6 million UAH has been allocated from the state budget for this purpose," the publication states.
The prosecutor's office also urged the public to rely only on verified sources of information.
