In Dnipro, a drunk driver crashed into a tram (PHOTO)

On Saturday, February 1, around midnight, a patrol crew witnessed a Honda driver fail to yield to a tram while turning from Svyatoslav the Brave Street onto Lazaria Globy Street. This incident led to a collision with the tram. The Patrol Police of Dnipropetrovsk region reported this, as conveyed by "Vidomo".

The vehicles sustained mechanical damage. However, the driver fled the scene of the accident. The patrol officers managed to catch up with and stop him.

During their interaction with the 21-year-old driver, the police noticed signs of alcohol intoxication. The man underwent a breathalyzer test, which confirmed he was driving under the influence, registering 0.99 promille of alcohol in his blood.

It was also discovered that the individual did not possess a driver's license and lacked mandatory insurance coverage. The inspectors filed five administrative reports against him: under part 1 and part 5 of Article 126, Article 122-4, Article 124, and part 1 of Article 130 of the Code of Administrative Offenses.

The driver was barred from operating a vehicle.
