The elected President of the United States, Donald Trump, has announced nearly 100 executive orders that he plans to unveil immediately after his inauguration on January 20. In particular, he intends to reverse decisions made by his predecessor, Joe Biden.
This was reported by RBK-Ukraine citing CNN.
"Within hours of taking office, I will sign dozens of orders - about 100, to be precise - many of which I will outline in my address tomorrow," Trump stated at a pre-inaugural dinner.
According to him, he will not waste a moment in fulfilling his campaign promises.
"With the stroke of a pen, I will cancel dozens of destructive and radical orders and actions from the Biden administration, and by this time tomorrow, they will all be null and void," he added.
Trump's speech took place on January 19 at the National Building Museum in front of an audience that included notable guests such as Amazon founder Jeff Bezos and Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk.
Earlier, the Financial Times reported that the EU is concerned that Donald Trump may revoke Joe Biden's sanctions against Moscow after January 20. Brussels is worried that Trump may attempt to reverse his predecessor's decisions simply because they were made by Biden, without fully considering the consequences.
U.S. officials have already implemented measures to complicate Trump's unilateral cancellation of certain sanctions against Russia. They have redefined several subjects, requiring the president to notify Congress if he plans to lift restrictions on them.
