The total losses of Russians in the Kursk region have reached nearly 50,000 individuals, with around 20,000 of them being killed.
This information was reported by RBK-Ukraine citing Telegram from the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi.
While in the Sumy region, Syrskyi awarded honorary medals to Ukrainian servicemen who maintain the security zone and carry out combat tasks, including in the Kursk region of the Russian Federation.
"These primarily include the Air Assault Forces brigades and the Ground Forces units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Among them are those who repel enemy assaults in the Kursk region and also conduct effective offensive operations," he stated.
The Commander-in-Chief emphasized that thanks to these soldiers, the Ukrainian front line in the north remains strong.
"Thanks to them, Ukraine continues to maintain control over hundreds of square kilometers of the aggressor's territory six months after the start of the Kursk offensive operation, while the enemy continues to suffer significant losses in personnel and equipment. Thus, the total enemy losses in the Kursk region exceed 48,000 individuals, with around 20,000 of them being killed," he summarized.
Let us remind you that yesterday, February 13, Ukrainian Armed Forces destroyed an enemy stronghold in the Kursk region. From there, the occupiers were launching drones into Ukraine.
