The Prime Minister of Britain, Keir Starmer, has announced a new deal to assist Ukraine. Specifically, the agreement allows our country to utilize £1.6 billion of British export financing to procure an additional 5,000 missiles for air defense.
This was reported by RBK-Ukraine citing Sky News.
According to Starmer, the deal will create jobs in the UK's defense sector and will be significant for the protection of Ukraine.
"This will be vital for safeguarding critical infrastructure and strengthening Ukraine," Starmer stated.
He also mentioned that Britain is prepared to defend peace in Ukraine, which will include "soldiers on the ground" and "aircraft in the sky."
"We are ready to do this together with others," emphasized the British Prime Minister.
It is worth noting that NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte stated today that European countries need to support Ukraine more. He highlighted that this issue is one of the key points at today's summit of European leaders in London.
