Pope Francis has been hospitalized in a Roman clinic for examination and treatment of bronchitis. Previously, he had complained of breathing difficulties during his sermons.
This information was reported by RBK-Ukraine citing Vatican News.
"This morning, after the audiences, Pope Francis will be hospitalized at the Agostino Gemelli clinic for necessary diagnostic tests and to continue inpatient treatment for bronchitis," the Vatican announced.
It is noted that the pontiff has been unwell for several days. The Vatican mentioned that, due to his poor condition, the Pope requested other clergy to read his pre-prepared speeches. This occurred during the last two audiences.
We remind you that we previously reported that Pope Francis shortened his sermon due to breathing problems. He explained it was due to an episode of bronchitis.
