The USA has imposed sanctions on major Russian oil companies

The USA has imposed sanctions on over 30 Russian oil service companies. At the same time, the restrictions also affected a Serbian company linked to "Gazprom Neft".

The U.S. Department of the Treasury has taken drastic measures to fulfill G7 commitments to reduce Russian energy revenues, including blocking two major Russian oil producers, namely "Gazprom Neft" and "Surgutneftegas".

The UK, alongside the USA, has imposed sanctions on Russian oil giants

The UK has for the first time imposed sanctions on Russian companies "Gazprom Neft" and "Surgutneftegas". The restrictions will impact Russia's oil sales revenue.

The UK government noted that daily "Gazprom Neft" and "Surgutneftegas" produce over 1 million barrels of oil, amounting to approximately 23 billion dollars per year. This is more than Jamaica's GDP.

"The profits of these two companies fill Putin's military wallet (the Russian dictator Vladimir Putin - ed.) and contribute to the war effort," the government clarified.

They added that every strike the UK delivers against Russia's oil revenues is another step toward a just and lasting peace in Ukraine.

Locals later discussed multiple explosions near Chaltyr, indicating secondary detonations of munitions.
