Taking into account associated companies and joint ventures, the "Metinvest" group increased its tax and fee payments to the budgets of all levels in Ukraine by 36% in 2024 compared to 2023, reaching 19.8 billion hryvnias.
This is reported by RBK-Ukraine citing the press service of "Metinvest."
The largest contribution was the payment for the use of subsoil resources, which more than doubled to 5 billion hryvnias. In second place is the unified social contribution (3.7 billion hryvnias). Third is the personal income tax at 3.4 billion hryvnias, which exceeds the 2023 figures by 11%.
Ukrainian enterprises of "Metinvest" paid 2.6 billion hryvnias in profit tax last year, which is 20% less than the previous year. The land tax increased by 6% compared to last year's figures, reaching 1.3 billion hryvnias, while the environmental tax rose by 18% to 717 million hryvnias.
"The war raises the level of responsibility for businesses – towards the army, the economy, and every Ukrainian. Despite all the challenges, we not only maintained stability but also managed to achieve the tax payment level of 2022, when we had a certain pre-war reserve of strength. This reflects our ability to adapt and find new opportunities. Metinvest remains one of the largest taxpayers and private donors to the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and we continue to support the country during these challenging times," noted Yuri Ryzhkov, CEO of the "Metinvest" group.
Recall that in 2023, "Metinvest" transferred 14.6 billion hryvnias in taxes and fees to the budgets of all levels in Ukraine, while in 2022, the amount was 20.5 billion hryvnias.
It is known that since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, Metinvest has allocated 8 billion hryvnias to support Ukraine and its citizens. Of this amount, 4.4 billion hryvnias is designated for the needs of the army as part of the military initiative "Steel Front of Rinat Akhmetov."
