МАГАТЭ поддержало резолюцию Украины, касающуюся защиты энергетической инфраструктуры.

The IAEA Board of Governors approved Ukraine's resolution on the security of energy infrastructure. China and Russia voted against it.

This was reported by RBK-Ukraine, citing "Radio Liberty" journalist Rikard Jozwiak on social media X.

"The IAEA Board of Governors has just approved the resolution on the security of energy infrastructure," the journalist stated.

Twenty-two member states voted in favor of the resolution, while two voted against it, and ten abstained.

It is noted that the text was crafted to avoid direct mention of Russia in order to gain broader support, particularly from China.

However, China still voted against it, just like Russia did.

Recall that we previously reported that at the extraordinary meeting of the IAEA Board of Governors on December 12 in Vienna, the Russian drone strike on the Agency's mission vehicle en route to the occupied Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant will be discussed. Ukraine convened the meeting.

The Ministry of Energy of Ukraine stated that they urged IAEA member states to increase pressure on Russia to cease attacks on substations that support the operation of Ukrainian nuclear power plants.
