The Israeli Air Force is preparing to strike Iran's nuclear facilities following the incapacitation of Syria's air defense systems.
This was reported by RBK-Ukraine referencing The Times of Israel.
It is noted that the Israel Defense Forces believe that with the weakening of Iranian proxy groups in the Middle East and the sharp decline of Bashar Assad's regime in Syria, there is an opportunity to target Iran's nuclear sites.
Consequently, the Israeli Air Force continues to enhance its preparations for such potential strikes.
It has been reported that over 85% of Syria's air defense systems have been destroyed during the attacks, granting Israeli aircraft and drones complete air superiority.
The Israeli Army also believes that Iran, isolated after the fall of Assad's regime and the weakening of its main proxy group Hezbollah in Lebanon, may continue its nuclear program and develop a bomb in an attempt to replace its nuclear deterrence.
Recall that on October 1, Iran launched approximately 200 ballistic missiles at Israel, but the attack was ineffective.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu promised to retaliate for this attack and does not rule out strikes on oil fields and even Iran's nuclear facilities.
Meanwhile, U.S. President Joe Biden is trying to dissuade Israel from such actions to avoid escalation.
At the same time, according to an Israeli journalist, future U.S. President Donald Trump has his own interest in Israel delivering a crushing blow to Iran.
