Britain is forming a "coalition of willing" to support a peaceful resolution in Ukraine.

The Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Keir Starmer, has confirmed plans to establish a "coalition of willing" to support any peace agreement in Ukraine. The United Kingdom will play a leading role in this initiative.

This was reported by RBK-Ukraine citing The Guardian.

"We will do more – we will develop a coalition of willing to safeguard the agreement in Ukraine and ensure peace," Starmer stated.

According to the Prime Minister, not all countries will be able to contribute to the "coalition of willing." However, he acknowledges the positions of other nations that cannot provide support in the form of sending troops to Ukraine with respect and without criticism.

"On the contrary, those who are willing are already intensifying planning with utmost urgency. The United Kingdom is prepared to support this by deploying troops on the ground and air support alongside other partners," Starmer emphasized.

Additionally, the politician noted that European leaders agreed at the summit to continue providing military aid and to increase economic pressure on Russia. They also highlighted that Ukraine should be included in any peace negotiations.

Military Contingent

Earlier, Starmer stated that in the event of any peace agreement, the United Kingdom is ready to send a military contingent to Ukraine, which may be supported by air forces.

He also mentioned that for these efforts to succeed, they must be backed by the United States of America.

It is worth noting that earlier reports indicated that the United Kingdom and France are developing a plan to deploy up to 30,000 European troops in Ukraine. This scenario is possible if a ceasefire agreement is reached.
