U.S. President Joe Biden responded to Russia's nighttime airstrike on Ukraine. He instructed the Pentagon to continue increasing arms supplies to our country.

This was reported by RBK-Ukraine citing the website of the White House.

The statement noted that in the early hours of Christmas, Russia launched waves of missiles and drones against Ukrainian cities and the country's critical infrastructure. The RF aimed to deprive Ukrainians of access to heat and electricity during the winter period.

"Let me be clear: the Ukrainian people deserve to live in peace and security, and the United States and the international community must continue to support Ukraine until it triumphs over Russia's aggression," Biden's statement said.

He also mentioned that in recent months, the U.S. has provided Ukraine with hundreds of air defense missiles, with more on the way. Additionally, he instructed the U.S. Department of Defense to ramp up arms supplies.

"I have directed the Department of Defense to continue increasing arms supplies to Ukraine, and the United States will persistently work to strengthen Ukraine's position in its defense against Russian troops," the U.S. president summarized.

It is worth noting that the Russian missile strike on Christmas was also addressed by the team of newly elected U.S. President Donald Trump. In particular, the future special representative for Ukraine, Keith Kellogg, stated that this attack is a brutal assault.

"Christmas should be a time of peace; however, Ukraine has suffered a brutal attack on Christmas. Launching large-scale missile strikes and drone assaults on the Lord's birthday is wrong," Kellogg wrote on social media platform X.

We also reported that according to the Dutch Foreign Minister, Kaspar Veldkamp, the Russian strike on Ukraine on Christmas proves that the Russian dictator Vladimir Putin does not want peace. On the contrary, he is interested in destroying Ukraine.
