Anticyclone Clemens and the arrival of winter. The meteorologist surprised everyone with her weekend forecast.

The weather in Ukraine this weekend will be influenced by the anticyclone Clemens, resulting in some unique weather patterns.

This information is reported by RBK-Ukraine referencing the forecast from meteorologist Natalka Didenko.

"On November 30, due to the anticyclone named Clemens, which has its center directly over Ukraine, there will be little to no precipitation across the country. However, some light rain may linger at night in the western, northern, Vinnytsia, and Cherkasy regions," she explained.

Nighttime temperatures on Saturday and Sunday are expected to hover around 0 degrees, with eastern regions experiencing 0...-3 degrees.

"During the daytime on November 30, temperatures will range from +1...+4 degrees, while in the southern and western regions, it will be +4...+8 degrees," the meteorologist noted.

What will the weather be like on the first day of winter

According to Didenko, the dry weather associated with the anticyclone will carry over into the beginning of the calendar winter—December 1 will also be precipitation-free in Ukraine.

"Fog is certainly possible, not just at night but also in some areas during the day," she remarked.

On December 1, temperatures are expected to be +1...+4 degrees, and similar to Saturday, the southern and western regions will see +4...+8 degrees.

In Kyiv, there will be no precipitation on Saturday and Sunday, but fog will "wander" about, increasing cloud cover, humidity, and reducing visibility. Nighttime temperatures will be around 0, while daytime temperatures will range from +1...+4 degrees.

Weather in December in Ukraine

The start of winter and the new week in Ukraine will not bring significant changes in weather—slight frosts at night, minor daytime "positives," and no substantial precipitation.

It's worth noting that meteorological winter in Ukraine begins in December. This occurs after the average daily temperature drops below 0 degrees. Typically, this happens in the first decade of the month, and in the south, during the second decade.

Additionally, meteorologists previously predicted that considering the trends of recent years and preliminary forecasts, this winter in Ukraine may not be particularly harsh.
